Registration

You will need to register an account on our website.

  • When you are on our home screen, you will see Register on the top right of your screen. Please click on this button to continue to the next step.
  • In the following screen (Register), you will be asked to provide some basic information. Fill in the fields and press Register to finish.
  • An email will be sent to your inbox asking to confirm your account. Please click the link in that email.

After your account has been verified, we kindly ask you to set up Two-Factor Verification (2FA).

  • Download an authenticator application on your phone, such as Google Authenticator. This one is cross platform compatible and free.
  • Log onto our website and go to your account section by clicking your email address at the top right, or press on “Enable now” on the red banner.
  • Click Two-Factor Authentication.
  • Click Setup Authenticator App.
  • Scan the QR code with the app on your phone.
  • Enter the code, generated by the app, in the field on our website to complete the setup.

Login

  • To log in please press login on the top right
  • Enter your email and password.
  • After setting up your Two-Factor Verification you will also be asked to enter a 6-digit code. This code can be found in your application.

Search

  • Please make sure to select the category or categories you would like to consult.

    • The selected categories will be highlighted. Now you can enter a search query. Please find below some examples.

      You would like to see all Dogon figures in public collections which are human depictions:

    • Dogon figure public anthropomorphic

      • Note that the order irrelevant, however the tags which you use are. Now let us specify the same search but we would like to exclude objects which are equestrian, have metal elements and which have no mention of Belgium:

    • Dogon figure public anthropomorphic -equestrian -metal -Belgium
  • As you can see, the – symbol is used to exclude words, please be aware that the symbol needs to be attached to the word you would like to eliminate from the search query.
